01 / THE MATERIAL

What is
asphalt paving?

Asphalt pavement combines crushed stone, sand, and gravel with asphalt binder—the material that holds the mixture together. Hot-mix asphalt is produced at a plant, placed while hot, and compacted with rollers to form a continuous paved surface.

The foundation matters as much as the finish. Proper base preparation, drainage, pavement thickness, and compaction help the surface carry traffic and perform through changing weather.

02 / THE BENEFITS

SMOOTH. SOLID. VERSATILE.

01

A smooth surface

Compacted asphalt provides an even surface for driving and everyday use, with a clean, finished appearance.

02

Built for the traffic

The pavement thickness and mixture can be designed around the vehicles, loads, and conditions the surface will face.

03

Options for renewal

Depending on its condition, asphalt can be patched or resurfaced. An overlay may renew the surface when the underlying pavement remains sound.

04

A recyclable material

Removed asphalt can be processed and reused in new pavement mixtures, conserving aggregate and binder.

03 / YOUR PROJECT

Is it a good fit?

A useful choice when a smooth surface and a defined paved appearance are priorities. Common applications include residential driveways, parking lots, and access roads.

What to consider

The right design depends on the existing ground, drainage, and expected traffic. Regular care and timely repairs help protect the investment; no pavement is maintenance-free.
