What is
sealcoating?
Sealcoating applies a thin protective coating to existing asphalt. It helps maintain the surface and refresh its appearance as part of a pavement maintenance plan.
It is different from chip seal, which uses asphalt binder and a layer of stone chips. Sealcoating maintains the asphalt already in place; it does not replace paving or structural repairs.
